Sinister Pointe – Not So Merry Christmas

It’s a classic Christmas tradition: you arrive at a snowy vista, and are met by a colorful and festive girl. She leads you deeper, towards the man of the hour. It’s Santa Claus, just like you remembered as a child… except he’s drunk, he’s handsy, and he’s obscene. What he lacks in holiday cheer, he makes up for in lewd comments. He will bait and challenge you just to see how far you will go. And you even get to take a photo with him, but he might want you to sit somewhere else than on his knee…

This is Sinister Pointe’s Not So Merry Christmas Holiday Haunt, and it’s a winter wonderland… for those who like things on the naughtier side.

Rather than being horror-driven, Sinister Pointe’s Christmas is more on the raunchy and vulgar side, and a fun and interactive experience–if you can stomach the content. While the intention here isn’t to instill a sense of dread, there still are a few scares at work: notably, a maze within the maze complete with a Santa hell-bent on preventing your escape. These work well to break up the interactivity and keep you anticipating what’s next.

The main theme is the blatant raunchy and sexual humor. Sinister Pointe puts guests in situations that some might find uncomfortable, but it does so with humor. The experience truly shines with its high level of interactivity in these situations. If you are comfortable connecting with the twisted characters inside, you will experience many humorous and spontaneous interactions that are a refreshing contrast to similar experiences. One of these moments is an encounter with a female who disclosed to me that she shares a special relationship with someone and its her daddy. I was curious, so I engaged with her and her brother, and they told me exactly what it was that made this relationship so “special”–just make sure no one tells Mommy.

Like Halloween’s Fear the Mark show, Sinister Pointe’s Not So Merry Christmas Holiday Haunt offers alternate paths. While there are only two paths–naughty and nice–they intersect infrequently and are worth the multiple trips.

Ultimately, Not So Merry Christmas is not designed to scare you or make you self-reflect, it’s a show designed to provide great raunchy, dirty fun! Invite your friends and pick: naughty… or nice? The choice is yours to make.

Sinister Pointe’s Not So Merry Christmas runs Friday and Saturday evenings from 7:00pm – 12:00am until Dec. 17. Purchase either a single admission ticket or an all night pass–with the option to upgrade to front of the line.
